How we select our friends.

  Have you ever wondered what led you to your current circle of friends?   For some people , it’s so easy to  interact with people thus making friends but for some , it’s like climbing Mount Everest . Recently , I came across an article about tulpas . Tulpas are imagined sentient companions who exist within the mind of their human hosts and have their own individual personality despite sharing the same mental space. For example if the host personality is fearful and shy, the tulpa is courageous and fearless . The tulpa will step in when the host personality is down in the dumps. The point is, the host personality differs from the tulpa in terms of complementary personality traits. Now, the complementarity principle states that people choose friends who are different from them.Individuals seek out acquaintances who have opposing viewpoints.They want their ideas and perspectives to be questioned.  "I'd like to go outside." Those are the words I hear every time I look after my nephew. For him, staying inside the house is like being in prison, whereas walking outside brings him such tremendous delight. It simply makes him happy. I wish I could watch him grow, but I know I can't, which makes me appreciate parenthood. The prospect of witnessing someone develop from a helpless child to an adult who will one day tell you something like, 'fuck off.' I know, it's terrifying. Because our bodies are memory carriers, you've probably had a few flashes of certain events. If I could go back in time, there are some portions of my life script that I would change, but then I wonder, what if I rewrote them and had a horrible outcome? Would I be able to forgive myself? What are the Gen z's up to these days?

You undoubtedly know who the most despises Generation Z. The millennials, of course. It's presumably because Gen Z and millennials have a lot in common. The most common misconception they have about us is that we are slackers who expect things to be simple and quick. That, however, is not the case. Gen z was born into a world that had begun to be swallowed by technology, practically identical to that of millennials, but technology has taken over the majority of Gen z's existence. The Gen z generation arrived at a time when the globe was moving at a breakneck pace, forcing the economy to keep up. So, Gen z's have witnessed their parents and guardians struggle with things like rent, especially as old buildings are demolished to make way for 'better' ones.
